Idea & Goal

This website was designed for "always_ellen" a small business based in Victoria, AU to expand the sales from the instagram account only to a broader audience. The goal of the site beside selling the hand made garments is to educate users about slow fashion, sustainability and ethical material sourcing through the blog; while highlighting the process she follow in the making of each garment or accessory.

I had a few goals to accomplish during the research phase:

Understand how people buy clothes and why

What people care about the most when buying clothes

How they feel about shopping with small businesses

How important is to receive garments quickly

Main deterrent from buying online is sizing and fitting

As expected the main reason why people shop in store is because they can try clothes on and see which garments fit best.

Importance of good social impact

Most users showed their interest in supporting good causes or the fight against climate change.

"I like supporting brands that are putting in an effort to save out planet, bonus points if the brand supports good causes/charities or overall you get a sense that their beliefs align with yours”

A number of users stated that the longevity of a garment is a deciding factor in making a new purchase.
